What's up with Whinny?

Horse Buyers

The time has come! No more wading through a sea of ads with missing information, terrible photos, piles of unnecessary information, and, worst of all, hand emojis (yes, you read that right), to indicate pricing.

What do we promise? Let’s keep it simple, Whinny won’t waste your time. Whinny helps you find relevant ads by providing standardized ads for equine sales, leases, and boarding that are easy to read, navigate, and available on all devices.

Oh! And make sure you take advantage of Whinny’s free customizable “looking for” ads. Let the sellers come to you.

Whether you are looking for your next project or unicorn, Whinny is here for you.

Horse Sellers

Is there anything more frustrating than getting inquiries for the same information over and over again? What about constantly navigating around pesky algorithms when listing ads? If you have a spectacular pony you’d like to sell quickly, listing it as a “halter” for sale to cheat certain algorithms (looking at you, Facebook) is annoying and can be misleading for buyers.

When marketing a horse, or boarding, there is a lot of information to include in the advertisement. The Whinny Ad Form makes it easy to connect buyers and sellers by capturing everything buyers are looking for.

Writing and posting equine classifieds has never been easier!

Meet the Maker

Greetings! Shannon here, long-time horse owner located in the Ottawa, Ontario area. Let me tell you, I am tired. I’m tired of browsing and sifting through long-winded ads looking for information Easter eggs. I’m tired of trying to decipher hieroglyphic emojis to figure out the asking price. The truth is, traditional online social media platforms have let the equestrian community down.

So after complaining (incessantly) to my friends, I thought to myself “why not make your own hub, if you’re so mad about it”. Sure, no problem. Should be easy.

Wrong.

I have poured BLOOD (read: tea, gallons of tea), SWEAT (read: annoyed my website design partner, a lot) and TEARS (the angry kind) into this project. My intention is to provide an equine classifieds haven, where gone are the days of “ugh, they didn’t list the height”, or “okay, but HOW OLD IS THE MARE?!”. It is a labour of love and I am continuously looking for more efficient ways to connect the dots between buyers and sellers.
